Its time for another Ultimate Blog Party, Yay! Thank you so much to twin bloggers Susan and Janice of 5 minutes for mom for hosting such wonderful event every year. This is my second year and last year I've "met" wonderful bloggers whom I'd love to meet again as well as meet more bloggers in this years parteeee!
My name is Carla and welcome to My Yellow Bells. I blog about our life here in United Arab Emirates as an expat family. I came to Dubai in December 2002 and got married to Ferald (who came a year earlier than me) in September 2003. We had our first baby in April 2004 and another in 2010. Our daughter Micaela is now nine and our son Prince is now three both of them are born in the UAE.
Our life is of a typical expat family in Dubai. Me and my husband goes to work and our daughter goes to school during weekdays (our son stays home with his aunt Bhabes) and our weekends - that's Friday and Saturday are spent going to the malls (we have a lot of malls here), beach, parks, zoo, the the desert and when we have more time and money to spend, we visit Dubai's neighboring Emirates to explore - we have been to all seven Emirates and we have lived in two (Dubai and Sharjah) (Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaima, Ajman, Fujairah, Umm A-Quwain).
How about a tour to the places we have been? I'll start off with the most popular city
Dubai has its famous Burj Khalifa next to Dubai Mall and the Dancing Fountain that dances daily from 6 pm
Abu Dhabi the capital of the country owns a Grand Mosque built in honor of the founding father of the UAE HH Sheik Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan
Our trip to Liwa to see the highest sand dune is something I cannot miss to share, it has a 50 degree slipface and height of 120 meters
Al Ain is part of Adu Dhabi and there are remarkable places to visit there too like the Al Ain Zoo, Al Ain Paradise Green Mubazzarah and Top of Jebel Hafeet you can look at it here
On your way to the top of Jebel Hafeet you can stop to take some photos like this one
Fujairah is almost totally mountainous Emirate. We are on our way here to Wadi Wurayyah
We also stayed at one of the best hotels in Fujairah- The Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort
In Umm Al-Quwain you will find the largest water park in the UAE - Dreamland Aqua Park. You can also go crabbing to catch your own crabs for dinner.
Not tired of going places yet? The remaining Emirates Ras Al Khaima and Ajman trip have no photos and I must say that there was no fab things we have done there yet. We've been there many times before but unfortunately no pictures.
I'd love to share more but I'd better give the stage to the next party blogger otherwise I might not be able to stop but you can always visit me at My Yellow Bells to know more about Dubai and the UAE
This party rocks! Thanks for coming!
