This is hard to say but I stopped going to the gym, the lazy bum in me is more dominating than ever but I have found a new way to get moving and get fit. I used to wake up now early on Fridays to run in the park nearby our house. A five minutes walk and I can start my days exercise. I know it is not enough and I must exercise at least 3 times a week and I need to find another way to get moving.
Last Friday I run carrying a towel and my mobile phone and without water and I took a lot of photos using the phone camera. Al Majaz Park and Al Majaz Waterfront is picture perfect in the morning.
Free play area for kids, Carrefour on the background where we used to buy our groceries
The people who lives in these buildings has a very good view of the park
running track

Abra station for Abra ride in the corniche
It's not like there is no one when I was out last Friday but since it's the weekend, only few people who find time to run or exercise you will find in the park.

Thank you for the wonderful post. I just moved to Sharjah and live in one of the buildings overlooking the Palm Tree park. I have not yet stepped out to explore it, so your post gives me a good idea of what to expect :D
ReplyDeleteRuchi, now is the best time to explore Al Majaz as the weather outside is wonderful even at noon. Lay a picnic mat and bring some food with your friends! Enjoy
DeleteHaha yes! I and the husband took out our dinner to the lawns at the waterfront last week. Do you still live here? We should meet some time. :) I moved in October, I really need to figure out Sharjah. By the way, I blog at http://wordcoiner.com
