Little Manila's Valentines Special

Little Manila has prepared something for Valentines Day to wow the crowd however this one is not your typical Little Manila go-to dishes because this one is quite special.

Named after the most romantic of movies and tastiest dishes from the French cuisine (well most of it), adjusted by the culinary wiz chef Jojo to suit the Pinoy taste, this Valentines menu on offer will surely make your day extra sweeter and more romantic without breaking the bank.

Presented to us by Chef Jojo himself and Mr. Kenneth Peralta - Little Manila's brand ambassador, together with many of Dubai's prominent media influencers, we've tasted all three sets of their three course menu. I can assure that you will love the food as much as you love the person sitting right in front of you on your date night.

Starting off with...

Romeo and Juliet

A quite light appetizer for two, fresh cuts of veggies with tartare sauce for dipping.

For the main course, this surf and turf will satiate the seafood and meat lover in you. The tiger prawn was cooked perfectly and the beef tenderloin was well, tender, melts in your mouth and flavorful. You can ask the chef how you'd like it cooked and he'll make it for you. I like mine medium rare.

Dessert was this lovely creamy chocolate orange mouse.

My daughter who was with me suggested that instead of the crumbled chocolate on the plate, it would have looked prettier if it was chocolate shavings against that white cream and I can't agree more.

Titanic

Buchetta de Pollo are slices of toasted pandesal bread topped with diced tomatoes, black olives, onions, grilled chicken and herbs

Beef Bourguignon was my hubby's pick, he liked the tenderness of the beef, the chunky mashed potato, the big pieces of mushrooms and the reduced sauce was really tasty.

Creme Brulee will be your dessert for this set and to add a little drama, the chef himself will caramelized the sugar in front of you filling the room with the sweet caramel aroma

This is how your titanic table will look like which I think is unsinkable :D

The Note Book

For starter, although presented quite differently, this shrimp ceviche on top of a toasted pandesal was tasty. The only comment we had on this one was if you add the dressing on top of the ceviche, it's going to soak the bread and will make it soggy and a choice of another bread was suggested.

I love beef moussaka and I can't be any happier with this dish. It was love at first bite for me.

I was glad to see this Asian fruit salad in cream base or to simply say, buko/fruit salad.

Presenting "The Note Book" dinner table.

All will be serve with a very refreshing red velvet or lemon mint iced tea.

This 4-day Valentines special will be available from the 11th - 14th of February from 6 pm to 11 pm at Little Manila Restaurant. All three set menus are priced at AED 99 dirhams for two inclusive of a fresh red rose for your date. Sit and dine in candle light with your loved one while being serenaded the Filipino way or as we call it harana.

In case it's a group date, Little Manila didn't forget you.

During the whole month of February, a seafood lover boodle fight that includes crab, tilapia, squid and shrimp in a bed of garlic rice will be available. It comes with Asian tomato salsa, vegetable peccadillo and fruit salad for dessert all for only AED 209, good for group of six people.
